I purchased these Jods for winter riding. The material is thick with a tight weave, so I think they will work well for rainy or misty winter days on the west coast. I like the workmanship and the style. Not too tight in the legs and the fit is flattering. However, I did order a size larger than what the chart suggested, based on my measurements and I'm glad I did. They fit small as other reviewer on other web-sites have mentioned. Although the waist is a bit too large. Also if they were just one inch higher in the waist it would be perfect for me. As it is I've been wearing them with a long shirt tucked in and a belt to keep them from gapping open around the top, which sits very low. If you are curvy like me, order a size larger, but expect the waist to be a bit too big.
