Still wear it every day. Have had it for a while and just changed the battery. Wish the glass was a little more durable but for the price, its nice.I bought this watch in July, 2013. It is now April, 2015. The watch is still going strong. The body of the watch is stainless steel, brushed. The back is screw-down and laser engraved with Stuhrling's logo and a smattering of technical info like ALL STAINLESS STEEL and other things they think are impressive enough to be written on the watch. The bezel has a numbered, unidirectional ratcheting fixture used to time things, originally the air left in a diver's tank. The fixture is somewhat difficult to rotate, but the burrs cut into it are sufficiently grippy to manage it. It is very reminiscent of the Omega Seamaster's and Rolex Submariner's fixtures, sharing the same markings. The crown is screw-down as well, and the lugs make it easy to unscrew to adjust the date and time. Pull the crown out to one stop for the date, and two for the time. The face itself is a classy black and white affair, with Arabic numerals at the four compass points and hashmark indices for the rest. The hands are a very distinctive, masculine sword shape, again reminiscent of the Omega. Supposedly the watch is safe in water up to 200m deep, but I have never tested it that deep. It's been wet plenty of times with no issues for me, though. The band is the same stainless steel, with a nice contrast on the links between brushed outer portions and a polished inner portion that really pops when you first get the watch. Over time, a million tiny scratches have formed on the polished section that makes it harder to distinguish between the two finishes. The clasp is a double locking fold-over, so it has a safety and push-buttons to release. This means that once you secure the watch on your wrist, it's not going anywhere until you take it off. The band is fairly comfortable for a metal band, and even resting my wrist on the band doesn't feel particularly uncomfortable. At the extreme limits of wrist flex, the crown does push into my hand uncomfortably (think push-ups). Some have speculated that the band may be too short and require you to buy an extra link, but I had to remove three or four to get mine to fit (still loosely). It is relatively simple to do at home, or you can take it to a jeweler. For minor adjustments, the clasp itself can be re-positioned.The watch keeps time fairly well. It's a "Swiss" quartz movement, so you can expect fairly accurate time-keeping. I have had to adjust it minutely over the last two years, for the date if nothing else (no calendar means the date indicator needs adjusting every time there are less than 31 days in the month, but that's normal for analog watches). As far as durability is concerned, I've worn this watch almost every day in a wide variety of situations, including outdoor activities like hiking and canoeing, with no issues for almost two years now. A few good hits have left slight dings or scratches, but none on the Kysterna crystal. In conclusion, if you like the look of the Rolex Submariner blended with the Omega Seamaster on a shoe-string budget, this is the watch for you. It looks good, it runs well, and it doesn't break easily (at least mine hasn't). I'm not sure what the other people on here did to their's to make it break, but mine has taken a number of good hits and still works flawlessly. For this look at this price, it's a solid watch, and it comes in a very nice box that would make a good gift.Update: Jan 2016A few days ago this watch was stolen out of my car when I left it there overnight after the gym. It was still keeping good time (quartz movements are generally close to flawless, anyway) and still had zero scratches on the crystal. I did not use it delicately, but you heard me right; zero crystal scratches. None. I don't know what other users did with theirs, but I took mine camping, hiking, canoeing, etc, and none. This is a good cheap watch. You're not going to fool anyone who knows better, but to the average person this has the look of a much more expensive watch in a durable, reliable package. At least that was my experience. This is a good value priced watch that is a great value for a dive watch in this price range. The quartz movement is made by a Swiss company. It's one of their lower end movements but is still a good quality quartz movement from a reputable Swiss manufacturer. It seems to keep pretty good time. The day after I received it I noticed it had lost 5 seconds compared to a clock that is automatically synced to NIST servers. Since then however it hasn't lost or gained anything significant. It's still 5 seconds off so maybe there was an issue when I set it that isn't related to the movement.A couple nice features with this movement are that you can adjust the date without stopping the time and if you're planning on not wearing the watch for an extended period of time you can reduce battery consumption by up to 70% by unscrewing the crown and pulling it out. There is something odd that can be noticed with the second hand. The small tick marks around the dial may be slightly off. On the right side of the dial, from the 12 to 6 o'clock positions, the second hand lines up fairly well with these markings. On the left side of the watch, from about 7 to 12 positions, the seconds hand doesn't line up well with these markings. The second hand stops obviously between the markings and not on them. This happens when the watch is being held vertically with the 12 o'clock position pointing up and the 6 pointing down. If the watch is turned upside down the variance is reversed. If the watch is laying flat on a table both sides are fine. Gravity appears to affect this. It's hard for me to tell if the issue is with the movement slipping a little due to gravity or if the seconds hand might be too heavy or if there is some issue with the attachment of the seconds hand to the movement. This doesn't appear to be an issue with the minutes hand. It's a fairly minor flaw that most people won't notice unless they pay attention. The quality of the construction and materials seems very good. The case is big and heavy and the bracelet is equally nice. It was easy for me to remove links from the bracelet to size it.The deployment clasp is very nice. As well as having a safety it is also a push-button latch. This feature was not mentioned in the product description but it's important to note. Maybe things have changed but in the past I recall many affordable priced watches I've seen did not have a push button clasp. The clasp functions well and feels very secure. I don't worry about it accidentally unlatching. The screw down crown is a must for any watch that has such a high water resistance rating. It works fine but I'm not a diver and won't be testing how deep it can go. The only time my watches really get wet is when I'm washing my hands or out in the rain. The rotating bezel is easy to operate and no noticeable play in it. It clicks at every half minute increment. The lume on the markings and hands is not all that great and the glow fades rather quickly. For the money, it's a nice watch if you like the styling. I got it when the price was further reduced as a Daily Deal and I feel I got a lot for my money. Stuhrling's MSRP for their watches is over inflated. They explain why on their website but I still feel it's a gimmick to make the watch seem more than it is. Same goes for the big box the watch comes in. Completely unnecessary. A regular sized box would save money not only in materials but also in storage and shipping. I think a lot of people hang on to their watch boxes for various reasons, this box wastes too much space. This is a good quality watch in it's price point. It's nothing to be ashamed of and there's no reason to try and make it out to be more than it is with a bigger MSRP and box. It cheapens the watch in my view.Well so much for it being a diving watch - this is the result of wearing it in the rain - not diving not swimming but wearing in the rain - fed up is under statement as spent hours looking at water resistance etc and at 200 mtrs i thought this would be fine for my daily use + the odd swimming session --- To top it all on filling warrenty its a $20 dollar charge before they supply shipping details and yep after 4 emails i still dont have any shipping details so assume its a BIG BIG CON we paid the $20 and finally got the watch repaired under warrenty but sorry to say September 2019 i am on holiday in Lanzarote and first day swimming in a pool and yes its full of water again will not be wasting a further $20 dollars the makers want to actually provide the legal warrenty - this is a massive con and a CRAP PRODUCTthe watch that came was very nice looking, the strap was outstanding solid and the locking clasp had a pin lock as well as the clamp down, like many have. The hands where nice and chunky bright could be seen at a glance ,the Indices where again chunky so i expected it to be nice at night to see . This is where what seemed like a Bargain at the price fell apart. After a very short time Max 2 hrs it was so dim you have to be an Owl to use it in dark, i could not believe it. Such a nicely made watch so posh looking( i Have never been so gutted ) But what is needed is a watch with hands and indices to work in the dark without having to light it up with a thermo nuclear device . I have a Invicta, Two Aquamasters and they are pretty useless as well ,And a Super 30+yr old Pierre Cardin By Avia all Swiss made which i am trying to replace as it corroding the plating off the brass? frame BUT the hands and indices are visible in the dark whenever and the crystal lens is still clear see pictures . I will get a Tritium Divers watch and have done with the mucking aboutWhilst I can't confirm if is waterproof as stated, this watch seems to fit the descriptions well. It certainly looks the part, and seems well put together. It is reassuringly weighty without feeling too heavy and is large but not oversized. Finally, it appears to keep the time well, which is not always guaranteed with watches it seems. Once I dropped a couple of links the bracelet fits a treat. I have dropped it a star as it came with a slight blemish on the outer ring - I considered returning it but with the clumsy way I treat watches I would probably scratch it pretty soon anyway! Overall, for sub £60, I think it can be recommended easily.Looks good on the shelf but has never worked properly. Within an hour the time is completely wrong. Nothing wrong with the battery as I had a jeweller test it. Tech support is ONLY in New York which is rubbish for people that live in other countries. Don't be sucked in by the "Swiss original", the factory/shop is based in New York. Want a divers watch, go elsewhere. Bought it for £60 and you can get little casio digital watches for £5 that work better than this, bought one 4 years ago that still works, the time is only 2 minutes out and I only don't wear it anymore because the strap broke after 2 years.Love this watch! A little chunkier than I expected (from looking at pictures) but that, for me, was a pleasant surprise. The quality is excellent/standard as I would expect from this brand.I bought this watch to swim with. There is a clock at the pool but I'm very short-sighted. Water-resistance was a must. I looked for a reasonably priced watch that i can swim with and then be comfortable to go to work with. I can confirm that the watch is perfect in both respects. 6 hour-sessions over a period of 3 weeks of swimming and no change in satisfaction - still won't test-wear it in a warm/hot shower - but that's my own insecurities - I'm sure it would be fine. The white numbering and hands, on black background, is easily readable even in low light. Looks great on the wrist - nice professional watch if that's what you're going for.Functionally - keeps perfect time (shouldn't expect less), date feature is good but to be honest i didn't need it - was specifically looking for a watch without a magnifier on the date. Screw mechanism is robust and designed to keep water out.Overall very happy with the watch - will update this review the very day I see condensation on the inside of the glass - hopefully never.
